Setting Intentions for 2020

Wow, that was fast.

It seems like just yesterday I was writing my word for 2019. TRY!

In 2019 I did a lot of trying! I spent 4 months in a foreign country. I tried new foods, activities, and challenged myself in ways I didn't know were possible. I jumped into vlogging and tried to post almost daily for the first 3 months.

So I'm chalking 2019 up to a win for following my word of the year. Now here we are, it's December, which means it's time to set intentions for 2020.

I did a lot of thinking about what I wanted my word for 2020 to be. Then I saw this quote and I knew.

My words for 2020 would be, DO.

In 2019 I tried new things. I experimented and learned a lot about myself. It felt like a trail year. Now that I have given myself the time to learn and try I am going to challenge myself to do.

Some of the things I wanted to "try" to do in 2019 were:

- Vlogging

- Posting more on social media

- Using less single-use plastic

- Journaling daily

Some things I wanted to try but didn't:

- Sky diving

- Snorkeling

- Participating in a Run/Walk

- Consistent Blogging

- Putting myself out there for work

In 2020, I will live more out of intent. I will do things because I want to, or because they provide value not simply because they are a habit.

So here is your right to hold me accountable. I give you full permission to message me and ask how things are going, to say "Hey, want are you up to? You haven't shared anything in a while!". I am giving you that right will hold me accountable because this year I will DO, out of INTENT!

What is your word for 2020?

What is your biggest goal? How can I help?

You're helping me so I'd love to help you too.

Cheers to a new year!

Love,

AL
