A Not so Detailed List
How was your January?
January for me has been, hectic, to say the least. So here I am to share what I am counting as necessities for my last semester of college.
First, is the Libby app. Libby is an app that allows you to get free, yes FREE, audio and electronic books from the library. All you need is a library card and you can access an endless selection of books. This app is perfect for my college budget as opposed to subscription-based service which requires a monthly payment.
Recently, I finished Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. This book was the perfect way to escape the mundaneness of my commute. It transported me from my VW beetle into the circus world in the 1900s. The next book on the docket is The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle.
Second, is my new routine. Although it has left me feeling like an old lady it's working and that's all that counts. I have gone from waking up at the last possible second to waking up at 5 am. That means I'm eating lunch by 9 am and am winding down for bed around 9 pm. (P.s. Its been 3 weeks and it still takes me about 5 alarms to actually wake up. If I'm being honest that will probably always be the case.)
Third, London Fogs at home! After enjoying them nightly in Italy, I've been super into making this delicious caffeinated beverage to keep me going. Black tea, honey, and a little half and half! It's like a hug in a mug, which everyone needs. 10/10 recommend any hot beverage as a booster during the day.
Fourth, on the list is the combination of a physical planner and a google calendar. The great part about using a paper calendar is being able to write everything down and physically cross off tasks as I go. Assignments, when I work, whose house I'm sleeping at, and tasks I already completed to make myself feel better.
The fifth is my essential oil diffuser. I am an allergy muddler. Have you seen those commercials where the woman reaches into her pocket and 1,000 tissues fall out? YEP! That lady is my spirit animal. This winter weather has me diffusing eucalyptus, lavender, and lemongrass oil 24/7. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I am also running a humidifier and air purifier.
I'll update you as new items make the list! Keep on keeping on my lovelies! You can do anything you set your mind to!
